PCYB Boys 14 and Under Defeat 2012 NC State Champions.
The PCYB 14 and under Boys took the court Friday and Saturday in the
Battle of the Border. On friday night the Polk Boys defeated the Carolina
Ballers in a thriller 53 to 51. Next game Saturday at 2pm against the NC YBOA 2012 State Champions the Forest City Heat. The Heat came out
and had a 5 point lead in the begin of the game. As Polk boys settled down they jumped out to a 17pt lead and never looked back. The Heat made a run to try to close the deficit but Polk was to strong. Polk defeated the Heat by 16pts the score was PCYB 87- Team Heat 71. Polk next game was at 5:45 againat Presidential Ballers. Polk had this game in the bag within 6 min of the 1st quarter defeating the Presidential Ballers 30- PCYB 55.. Awaiting the winner of the Carolina Ballers and the Heat, Polk players got well rested. It was official championship game is set Team Heat vs PCYB the rematch tip off 8:15pm. As the game began Team Heat once agin jumped out to a large 13pt lead until 2min in the 3rd quarter when Polk went on a 10pt run within a 1:30sec. As the 4th quarter began the Heat had a 5pt lead on Polk. But Polk went on a run and was now up by 8 points with 3min left in the game. The Heat again tried to make a come back but the PCYB Blue Rage dug in and defeated the 2012 YBOA North Carolina State Champions Team Heat for the Second time in one day Final Score....
Team Heat 74 - PCYB 82.
Polk Boys will be competing in the 2013 YBOA State Championship on May 31st - 2nd back in Forest City NC. check back here for more details.
